AUGUST PLOT: A LOVELY TRIP TO PLANET 10952.EG.K

Arrival on EG.K is non-eventful; one will find themselves about a five minute walk away from the closest village on a very flat planet. The purple and turquoise grass waves in the near-constant warm breeze under a rosy pink sky, and while the sun seems far too close to the planet for comfort, the semi-cloudy nature of the planet means one can see far into the distance without squinting constantly.

EG.K is currently a delightful 23.9 degrees in Universal Standard Temperature, dipping down to 15.5 UST at night. Visitors to the planet can expect clear skies and no rain or storms for the week. Occasional winds up 50 MPH are present, but not constant.

Make friends with the locals, take a swim in a lake, actually do whatever it is you came here to begin with - whatever it is, enjoy your week on this charming and uneventful planet!

Rodimus doesn't allow himself to slow down to let Drift catch up, no, that's not the point of this - instead he passes to the opposite side of Drift by cutting in front of the other mech, trusting that his friend isn't going to crash into him.

[That's what he'll tell the jury anyway. And Primus only knows how much organic habitat they're destroying. Not that Drift knows enough about organic biology to understand that. Grass, it's just decorative right?

And Drift would be insulted if Rodimus felt the need to handicap himself for Drift's benefit. There's a huff from his engines as he tails Rodimus instead, coming close enough to tickle the EM field at those exhaust pipes with his fender in the most obnoxious way possible.]

( WHATEVER. The brush of his EM field makes him jerk slightly out of surprise, veering to the left before he corrects his course and speeds up a little. It feels good to do this - the speeding around with a sky above them thing. Organic, fleshy planet or not, there's not a lot of things that can dampen the joy of tires kicking up dirt.

His enthusiasm will be dimmed the first time something organic hits his windshield, but that hasn't happened yet. )

LOL this planet should have large, extra squishable bugs IMO.

[He laughs, because deciding who's older is like trying to say which of earth's oceans has most water in it. After a point counting the drops is just pointless.]

Besides, maybe I also like the view. [Can't let Rodimus' ego go bruised for too long of course. But he's having a blast himself, just cutting loose, and enjoying a little friendly rivalry that doesn't involve politics or awkward social dynamics.

And because he's still feeling frisky boarding on obnoxious, he'll swerve around to Rodimus' other side and tickle the other set of exhaust pipes. Are you sure you want him back here Rod?]

( Teasing, but yes that is a nice soothing of his ego, thank you Drift. At least until the tickling happens, and then he practically yelps and slams on the breaks, veering to the side in surprise.

Which. Really only puts him in Drift's way. Maybe someone should have thought that through before deciding that this was the wisest course of action, huh. )

[You're welcome Rodimus. Better enjoy the ego stroking because the way Drift's gonna blow past you here in three seconds is probably gonna chaff.

Drift is rather expecting, hoping, for the reaction, so he swerves well out of the way as it happens, peels of laughter echoing from his car body as be powers forward, accelerating in an attempt to pass Rodimus while he's distracted.

Not fair at all, but hey, at least he can repurpose some of that Decepticon craftiness into better uses. It's progressive!]

( Oh it does chaft, but it's something Rodimus is willing to deal with even as he laughs - shifting gears as he attempts to close the distance between the two of them.

And once he gets close enough, to nudge Drift's fender with his bumper just to be extra obnoxious. )

[Their relationship couldn't have survived this long without the ability to take a little playful ribbing. But ya know, having someone Drift can do this comfortably with means the world to him.

Drift goes for a sizable lead, though he knows he won't actually get it. Every second he keeps it is a tease though, because getting too far ahead just wouldn't be as fun. Not that he expects immediate retaliation though, so the bump to his fender gets a squeak and a little squeal of his tires.]

Yeah, but it's lower maintenance.

[OH DAYUM if Drift gets away with his paint intact that'll be amazing. He fully expects to get smacked for that one.]

( And smacked he gets, Rodimus gunning it so he can come up beside Drift, fully intending on ramming into his side if he's given half a chance. )

[Drift could probably dodge that if his life depended on it, but it's just his paintjob in jeopardy and he doesn't value it as highly as Rodimus does his. So he's too busy issuing peels of laughter from his vocalizer to swerve as soon as he should, taking the brunt of Rodimus's assault. It's worth it though, giving up his lead just to get the better of his friend, for the moment anyway.]

You're gonna make me buff that out later, aren't you?

[It's the irony that keeps him laughing, because it's not like he'd say no.]
