Not while these things keep attacking. Not while the place is under assault. There's time enough for that...later. It's all borrowed time for him, anyway.
He takes just a moment, to rest, leaning against one of the ship's sturdy bulkheads, resting his exertion-heated body against the cool metal. But as soon as he hears sounds of approach--footsteps, the sounds of battle--he elbows himself off the wall, bracing himself. ]
