or! hold on a minute. there is debris from these rock aliens just about everywhere. just give him a minute to find the biggest chunk. ]

[This is what he assumes is going to happen anyway. Megatron always was more of a brute than actually wanting to go about things the scientific way.

Which is clearly why Starscream should be leader.]

[ ... It's interesting to have Megatron actually doing the manual labor instead of just ordering other people to do it. But anyway.

Starscream approaches and does some visual scans and compares the readings from earlier.]

The energy draws towards the point of the thing that is touching it. So now if you ... theoretically ... touched it as well, it over-all might get weaker.

[ nah. he's just going to find another boulder. or something large enough that he can slide against another point in the field. ]

[Or other you. The whole alternate universe thing is just as strange as the Autobot Megatron thing ... though not quite as much. Close though. He watches Megatron like a supervisor who does not feel the need to be of much help.]

[ they are not here to discuss who wants what and who will get what. what needs to happen here is the deactivation of this force field. ]

[Megatrons are so demanding. Speaking of which, he moves to stand beside the former Decepticon leader as he does another scan.]

So now it's doing the same thing -- the energy is concentrating on both spots. I don't think it's enough though.

Can you estimate how many points of contact we will need?

Don't know. With this size and strength you might need quite a few. I'm not exactly a force field engineer.

[But again, this is strange because Megatron is actually listening to him. Perhaps he can use this for his advantage later. Even if this Megatron is a stupid Autobot.]

[ which is the truth. unlike the Megatron that Starscream may be used to, this one is of the mindset to try to get something done rather than sit around and just through snide comments around at each other. ]

We may need a third.

[This seriously has to be something along the lines of brainwashing. Which makes Starscream suspicious. So he gives Megatron another look before going back to the situation at hand.]
