[Another smirk. This is much more entertaining than dealing with Megatron.]

( She doesn't have time for this. Theoretically. )

[ that is the sound of a tank pulling up through the hallway, yes indeedy.

so sorry to interrupt the conversation. that mounted cannon looks rather ominous, don't you think. ]

[And then Megatron had to show up and ruin things. Starscream narrows his gaze because bah, his timing is always the worst.

And he also points a finger directly at the tank.]

( That sure is a talking tank. She blinks, slowly, attention focused on it before going back to Starscream and then the tank.

Alright, she can roll with this. She's seen weirder. )

No, it would appear that's a tank.

( A chance that there's more than meets the eye to this situation? Probably. But for now Gamora's calling them as she sees them. )

[ more at Gamora than for Starscream. in fact, he seems to ignore the jet altogether before transforming back into robot form. ]

This whelp of a jet has discovered how to bring down the force field. What we require is assistance.

Well, except for the part about my being a genius. But other than that, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

[Because he's totally not a whelp.]

( To Megatron: ) Then he should have said so to begin with.

( Talking tank that turns into an even taller giant robot. Well why not? Gamora pushes herself off the wall she'd been leaning against, crossing her arms before looking from one to the other again. )

Your planet must have a different definition of 'genius' than the one I thought was universal.

( But go on, she's listening. )

He has a horrid habit of not getting to the point.

[ from what he's observed thus far anyway. ] Though personally, I find his presence a little less irritable than that of the Starscream I am accustomed to.

[He turns and gestures towards the force field.]

Touch the force field and energy concentrates on that spot. Touch it in a second spot and the concentration centers on that spot as well. Hit it in enough different places at the same time ... and it might weaken it enough to come down.

[He shrugs.]

( Skeptical, but Gamora has agreed to more idiotic plans than this one recently thanks to Quill's meddling. So she'll bite. )

So what, you're going to punch it and I'll stab it?

( Violence. The solution to most everything. )

That would be the idea, yes.

[ well for them it might be more like opening fire. Starscream has two guns and Megatron has one.

[He gestures towards Megatron. Megatron being civil is so very strange, which just means he'll have to continue to push his buttons just to see the limits.]

And, no. Unless you think you can talk a semi-large group of people into jumping into it ...

The only readily available brainwashing telepath I know is in another universe.

( So it's just them, and Gamora unsheathes her sword from her back, digging the point down into the floor. )

[ and Megatron reverts back into his altmode. he takes aim, expecting Starscream to do the same. ]

[ he also figures that Starscream will be the one counting down since the brat has power hunger issues. ]

[Oh all right. He raises his arm cannons and aims at Force field.]

[He fires! Who said anything about actually counting down?]

( On three Gamora shoves the point of her sword into the force field with all her strength, gritting her teeth. )

And when will we know if you weren't mistaken?

[aerospacecommander]

... Like I told fearless-one here, I am not an expert on force field so I don't know.

[gamora]

I can see the value of keeping you around.
