[ that's more or less the truth of it. that and Megatron understands having a name to go by that people are constantly messing up. a name is an important thing. thus if Drift wants to be Drift that's what Megatron will call him. if he had wanted to go by Princess Sparkles, Megatron might have given a bow when saying that name too.

The brand I wear is of my choosing. Upon reflecting over the last four million years, I realized that it is time for a change. After putting an end to Shockwave's plans, I willingly turned myself in.

[Ultra Magnus is about as religious as Ratchet's oil pan. Granted, Drift still feels like he owes then enforcer one after the red tape gambit he pulled on the Galactic Council at Theophany, but if Drift had to choose a vanguard to greet the Knights should they be found...it wouldn't Magnus.]
