[backdated] Like some Kid N Play video
Who: The Cybertronians and anyone else who might be nosy as to what all the large robots are doing together because why not.
What: Sharing resources houseparty?
When: Shortly after the robot network post excitement
Where Green 6, aka Wing's Swingin' Bachelor Pad
After Drift's post, Wing realized that as a knight, he had a mission, to help his people come together and find a way to coexist. Or else. And Drift had mentioned that they should pool resources. So, after double-checking with Drift, Wing sent a small message to each of the Cybertronians on the station to please meet him, this evening, in his quarters.
He wished food wasn't such a consideration here, because he felt bad not being able to lay out a spread of food for hospitality. Maybe they would all bring their own? He can hope. He has his few flight grade fuel rations on a table, just as, well, something.
As it is, he has soft music and subdued lighting, hoping they might defuse any, well, interpersonal tensions.
He stood by the door to greet his guests, with a silent prayer to the whole Guiding Hand, that this went well.
((OOC: This is a general robot shindig meet and greet and hopefully not punch each other. Feel free to post a header for your character for others to tag into--anywhere in Wing's quarters or the hallway or whatever; mess with his stereo, steal his towels, show up early, fashionably late, whatever you want! And of course, non-Cybertronian partycrashers welcome!))

But that's when Starscream comes along, as if summoned but the criticism. Drift just stares flatly for a moment before answering Rodimus. "I don't know, can we decide based on proximity?"
RUDE
"Are we going to have to lay some ground rules? It's not Hot Rod," he knows they've been over this and he's going to keep correcting Starscream until it sticks. "And don't touch me." You'll scuff his paint, Screamer, and that would be awful.
But now that he's brushed the Decepticon away, he can give his full attention back where it belongs. At least for the moment. "Sure." A half shrug and a half grin. "And this one's bound to screw up eventually on account of being Starscream."
Rodimus is banking on some things remaining the same between the universes.
bwha
Unfortunately for Rodimus, Starscream could probably keep this up forever. He folds his arms across his chest after he is brushed away and looks between the two who decided to go back to talking about him right when he's still standing there.
"Speaking of screw ups," and this was a question he just had to ask, "what's up with Megatron's new-found 'good-guy-ness' or whatever he's claiming."
Re: bwha
"The more you correct him the more he likes it Rodimus. Don't give him the satisfaction." Drift learned this the hard way when it came to resisting wearing a fuzzy suit while doing errands. Don't Ask.
His optics slide over to the flier. And...up a little. Why are seekers always so tall? "Why does it seem so strange that he'd change his mind?"
no subject
"Because it's Megatron?' Rodimus will gleefully answer that part. Drift is - Drift is different in terms of how Rodimus quantifies his change of spark. No one has yet pointed out how hypocritical that is of him, but it's only a matter of time. He looks to Drift and then back up at Starscream, shrugging slightly. "All I know is that he shows up with Optimus after they go off and deal with Shockwave with Bee's Autobrand on his chest and starts claiming he's an Autobot."
no subject
Starscream almost added to the answer of why they were questioning Megatron -- you know since he was a genocidal maniac and all -- but that second part catches his attention even more.
"Bee? The little yellow one? Bumblebee? What ... was the he like 'oh you want to be an Autobot, just go ahead and take mine'? I know that he was annoyingly optimistic, but I can't believe he'd go along with that."
no subject
"He's always been Megatron but he wasn't always about violence you know." Just a reminder that there's a person under the ex-warlord title, in case anyone's forgotten. Drift will probably be the one to point out the hypocrisy of Rodimus' bias, but not now. He's not gonna go calling out his bestie in front of Jerkscream; that guy doesn't need any help with the taunting fodder.
"I'd only heard a little bit about that. Something Bee said or did really had an impact on Megatron." He does wonder at the details. He knows it took a very humbling moment for his epiphany to strike, when he started to really listen to Wing. And well...Bee was never exactly welcoming to Drift in the beginning. He wonders what's changed.
no subject
"No, he just decided to excel in it, like normal people do." Seriously Drift. Get with the program that is 'making sure everyone remembers that the war is pretty much his fault,' regardless of how true that is. But he does appreciate the solid, or would if he knew the other was holding back on calling him out.
That gets a shrug from Rodimus, because he doesn't know how that went down, just that it did. "Well it's not like I could just ask him, since he's dead and all."
Oh. Right yeah, that was a thing he probably should have told Drift at some point in time before now.
no subject
Starscream just busts out laughing completely overlooking the 'Bumblebee is dead' part. Maybe he'll get to that later. The important thing was just how deluded this Drift guy seems to be.
"He started the uprising preaching about vengeance and you're trying to say that he wasn't about violence? But no, I guess he was the Mother Teresa of Cybertronians who just one day decided to go genocidal."
Starscream maybe many things, but he always knew what the Decepticons (in his universe at least) meant and where he stood. They are evil and that's what he likes about it.
no subject
Just sayin' Rodimus. That's a reality check, squared. Apparently violence really does come naturally to normal people. Like your best friend.
Starscream really does get the sigh that he spared Rodimus though. "We're from different universes so I can't see the relevance. Though I'm sorry that your Megatron never wanted to fight for your freedom."
It's then that he catches the part about Bee being...gone. Drift just stares with slightly wide optics. Bee was never fond of him but that didn't change the fact that they've lost a decent mech who only ever tried his hardest.
no subject
And that's that. It kind of bothers him that Drift is trying to compare himself to Megatron in some ways, because Drift is better than whatever it is Megatron is at this point. That's something he knows and won't be convinced on otherwise.
But-- Rodimus slides his arm through Drift's in a very good attempt to drag him off because he sees that look and Rodimus knows they have a lot of things to talk about. "Hey, you," to Starscream, "nice chat and all but why don't you go bug Megatron while the Autobots here catch up?"
Megatron is clearly not included in the 'Autobot' category.
no subject
He really did not understand this guy. Why would anyone try so hard to stick up for Megatron? And an Autobot at that? Jetfire followed the Decepticons for quite awhile and even he didn't stick up for him.
But that was another story and it didn't matter if they were from different universes. Sure this Megatron seemed somewhat calmer than the one Starscream knew, but they still spoke the same.
"And --" He finally turns to Rodimus, "if you really want me to leave, I suppose I can go find some helpless organic thing to dismember and murder -- being the evil Decepticon I am and whatnot."
no subject
Drift doesn't miss the look Rodimus gives him. But he's making a point and the when of his example isn't actually relevant. But he doesn't want this to be about body counts at all since they're supposed to be putting all that behind them. "All I'm asking is where do you draw the line between who's redeemable and who isn't? Does every other Decepticon get a pass because they didn't coin that slogan?"
no subject
So he shrugs with the shoulder not attached to the arm attached to Drift's and continues the conversation - effectively doing his best to block Starscream out. Best friend bonding time, Starscream, respect it. "Megatron," he says, enunciating the name very clearly so that Drift is sure to get it this time, "it's Megatron. He's not like every other Decepticon, Drift, because every other Decepticon didn't start the war." Megatron's the guy that told him that a true leader acted without regret and without regards for the consequences. So it's a bit difficult for him to deal with the idea he's suddenly had a change of heart.
no subject
Maybe he could harass that Wing guy, he looks like an easy target. Too nice and all.
no subject
"I might like to watch that you know. Getting his aft handed to him by a 'squishy organic'." It'd probably be the highlight of Drift's day. Actually, Starscream being put in his place by anyone is a show worth watching. Maybe it'll be Wing. That'd be nice, to watch someone else get thrown around like cargo.
For all that the arm around his shoulder is Rodimus being possessive, it's nice to have that, both the camaraderie and generally being wanted. Drift relaxes into it despite the topic of conversation. "I know Rodimus. But doesn't that make it even more important to keep him from starting another? What if you're wrong, what if he is trying to change and fails because no one could see him any different?"
