[backdated] Like some Kid N Play video
Who: The Cybertronians and anyone else who might be nosy as to what all the large robots are doing together because why not.
What: Sharing resources houseparty?
When: Shortly after the robot network post excitement
Where Green 6, aka Wing's Swingin' Bachelor Pad
After Drift's post, Wing realized that as a knight, he had a mission, to help his people come together and find a way to coexist. Or else. And Drift had mentioned that they should pool resources. So, after double-checking with Drift, Wing sent a small message to each of the Cybertronians on the station to please meet him, this evening, in his quarters.
He wished food wasn't such a consideration here, because he felt bad not being able to lay out a spread of food for hospitality. Maybe they would all bring their own? He can hope. He has his few flight grade fuel rations on a table, just as, well, something.
As it is, he has soft music and subdued lighting, hoping they might defuse any, well, interpersonal tensions.
He stood by the door to greet his guests, with a silent prayer to the whole Guiding Hand, that this went well.
((OOC: This is a general robot shindig meet and greet and hopefully not punch each other. Feel free to post a header for your character for others to tag into--anywhere in Wing's quarters or the hallway or whatever; mess with his stereo, steal his towels, show up early, fashionably late, whatever you want! And of course, non-Cybertronian partycrashers welcome!))

Drift doesn't want to think about the mental image that he's conjuring, the real thing was bad enough. "Well yeah. I mean it was sticky and..." Wow Drift, no. Try again. "Er well, I did the best I could. They don't exactly have washracks around here that really fit us." He still vaguely smells like strawberries though so he didn't do that great a job. Clearly it's intervention time, Wing.

An actual future. Actual friends. And maybe more.
Well, still, he should have some manners. "That's another thing we'll have to look into finding here. We can't go here without proper cleaning and maintenance."
no subject
And well, if they can be friends, just maybe...??
"Ah-ha that we do need yes. Can't have mechs going for months unwashed right?" Say, like, the one standing right here who still has scuff marks from the shuttle pilot's chair that he sat in for so long.
well fuck me I lost this tag.
"Not if we want to make a good impression on our hosts, no." He tilts his helm. "I suppose it's something I could work on."
no worries~!
Assuming, the jet wants him of course. It's hard to imagine after he was such a pain in the aft.
"A good point! We'll need to address that soon." Like yesterday in his case. "You have some ideas?"
Grah! *punches gmail*
"Well, we could at least ask if there's a space we could renovate. It would mean communal bathing." He wonders if that's a problem, with all the other mechs here.
no subject
"C-Communal bathing?" Maybe he gets a little glassy-eyed for a moment. "I have no problem with that." He does like his privacy but the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. Ahem.
no subject
And communal bathing could be, well...neighborly!
no subject
no subject
Well...not that kind of dirty, anyway.
"We can scout locations together. Something near to where we all live?"
no subject
Stinky robots you mean. No one likes stinky robots. This conversation is suddenly very hard to focus on.
"Proximity would be good yeah. We seem to be pretty spread out over the housing units but somewhere central to all of them would be best. And oh...I'd love that. The scouting, I mean."
no subject
Stinky robots, then, yes. Though it's a much less fun image.
Wing likes his double entendres.
"We'll have to keep that in mind, when we look. ...why do you think they did that? Spread us out?"
no subject
Drift would like his double entendres too, if he were clever enough to make them. But that's okay, because when they're Wing's they're better anyway.
"I'm not sure. But they seem to be color coded. All I know is that I'm stuck in the same building as Pharma." So much DO NOT WANT there, it's almost a Deadlock level scowl.
no subject
Adding to his list of things to find out as they settle in.
"Well, that's not so bad, is it? You can see for yourself if he's changed."
And then I realize this takes place before Pharma intro'd. /waves hand Nothing to see here
"But I know Rodimus would be thrilled to have proper maintenance facilities." And Drift too, though the swordmech is slightly less vain. 'Slightly'.
punches continuity in the face
"Oh, your, uh, friend?" He was still a little fuzzy on the relationship between them. "Maybe we can make it a surprise for him."
/laughs at its black eye
"But yeah. And my captain. Er, or. was. is? It's fuzzy." Let's change the subject! "He was the person who stood by me after joining the Autobots."
Let's just, uh, ignore the use of past tense there shall we? It's still true! Er, again!
no subject
He smiles. "I'm glad you let yourself have friends, now." Deadlock...hadn't seemed keen on the idea of friends in general.
no subject
But Drift loves that untarnished naivety in Wing, even if he fears that it might get the jet in trouble.
"Me too," and the way he looks at Wing says the jet is the best benefit of that, a friend he never considered he had before, not until it was too late.
no subject
"It's so wonderful to see how you've changed, Drift. All of this." He gestures at Drift's body, the smile on his face, everything.
no subject
But oh, ah, that sure is Wing gesturing to...all of him. AHEM. "I'm glad. That I--that you--er, like it." 'Approve' was actually the word there, but wow he sounds kinda lame enough already. "I was inspired by someone, for the color choices." Looking at you again, Wing.
no subject
"Why wouldn't I? It's you." He grins. "And you wear it well, Drift."
no subject
Thank you, words, for just blurting that out there. Hopefully it sounded good because Drift has no idea what he's doing.
no subject
"I admit, though, it's a bit...intimidating to feel I've been so important in your life." Truth for truth. He'd wanted to change Drift, but, well somehow not as the key focal point.
no subject
His expression softens then. "You were the pivot point of my 180. I'd lived a destructive life since being left in the gutters. You were the first one to make me see I could be something else." He shrugs a little sheepishly. "Is it...that strange?" He'll, uh, stop if it's creepy. (Or try, anyway.)
