[backdated] Like some Kid N Play video

Who: The Cybertronians and anyone else who might be nosy as to what all the large robots are doing together because why not.
What: Sharing resources houseparty?
When: Shortly after the robot network post excitement
Where Green 6, aka Wing's Swingin' Bachelor Pad

After Drift's post, Wing realized that as a knight, he had a mission, to help his people come together and find a way to coexist. Or else.  And Drift had mentioned that they should pool resources.  So, after double-checking with Drift, Wing sent a small message to each of the Cybertronians on the station to please meet him, this evening, in his quarters.

He wished food wasn't such a consideration here, because he felt bad not being able to lay out a spread of food for hospitality.  Maybe they would all bring their own?  He can hope. He has his few flight grade fuel rations on a table, just as, well, something.

As it is, he has soft music and subdued lighting, hoping they might defuse any, well, interpersonal tensions.

He stood by the door to greet his guests, with a silent prayer to the whole Guiding Hand, that this went well.

((OOC: This is a general robot shindig meet and greet and hopefully not punch each other.  Feel free to post a header for your character for others to tag into--anywhere in Wing's quarters or the hallway or whatever; mess with his stereo, steal his towels, show up early, fashionably late, whatever you want!  And of course, non-Cybertronian partycrashers welcome!))

It's true, and he's still trying to follow that example. He's stumbled a few times recently but all this? It's the best kind of recovery he can imagine. It's almost like fate brought Wing back to him just when he needed it most.

"C-Communal bathing?" Maybe he gets a little glassy-eyed for a moment. "I have no problem with that." He does like his privacy but the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. Ahem.

"And this place seems big enough, surely they can accommodate something." That stands to reason to him at least, not that he knows anything about building washracks. "Can I...help at all?" He can do the heavy lifting maybe??

"And well, equal treatment would be nice." They're stuck here just like all the other organics, after all.

Stinky robots you mean. No one likes stinky robots. This conversation is suddenly very hard to focus on.

"Proximity would be good yeah. We seem to be pretty spread out over the housing units but somewhere central to all of them would be best. And oh...I'd love that. The scouting, I mean."
alwaysadrift: (why so serious)

"We should definitely talk to them about it. Er. Whoever it is we need to speak to." He's a little fuzzy on that. Anyone but that poor blue-faced intern though, that guy looks like he could use a break.

Drift would like his double entendres too, if he were clever enough to make them. But that's okay, because when they're Wing's they're better anyway.

"I'm not sure. But they seem to be color coded. All I know is that I'm stuck in the same building as Pharma." So much DO NOT WANT there, it's almost a Deadlock level scowl.
alwaysadrift: (totally meditating with my eyes open)

And then I realize this takes place before Pharma intro'd. /waves hand Nothing to see here

"I suppose so. But before, we didn't even know he'd gone astray until it was almost too late." Drift can hope for a little forewarning though, so much could be a stake.

"But I know Rodimus would be thrilled to have proper maintenance facilities." And Drift too, though the swordmech is slightly less vain. 'Slightly'.

But it's hard Wing, in some cases it's so very hard. "Thank Primus for that. And maybe the fact that he's the only Cybertronian medic will spark his, uh, sense of medical responsibility?" Atrophied as it is...

"But yeah. And my captain. Er, or. was. is? It's fuzzy." Let's change the subject! "He was the person who stood by me after joining the Autobots."

Let's just, uh, ignore the use of past tense there shall we? It's still true! Er, again!

"Ha-ha, yeah." Except Drift knows evil disguises itself as other things. Sometimes you are so close to it that it looks like something else...

But Drift loves that untarnished naivety in Wing, even if he fears that it might get the jet in trouble.

"Me too," and the way he looks at Wing says the jet is the best benefit of that, a friend he never considered he had before, not until it was too late.
alwaysadrift: (smells like hero worship)

Maybe that's Drift's premonitions working again? Wait, let's hope it's not, or at least that he's wrong in that regard. The fewer visions of Wing getting into horrible trouble, the better!

But oh, ah, that sure is Wing gesturing to...all of him. AHEM. "I'm glad. That I--that you--er, like it." 'Approve' was actually the word there, but wow he sounds kinda lame enough already. "I was inspired by someone, for the color choices." Looking at you again, Wing.

"I--uh, well..." Wow that's more compliments and bonus realizations than he's had in under a minute in....a very long time. "You wear it better."

Thank you, words, for just blurting that out there. Hopefully it sounded good because Drift has no idea what he's doing.
alwaysadrift: (can I quote you on that)

"That's, uh, fair." It's a little weird, not thinking of things as a competition, however friendly. It's the way he was wired for so many centuries, competing for resources, for rank, for respect, and even for his freedom in Crystal City. He's trying it out though, and on first impression it feels...kinda nice.

His expression softens then. "You were the pivot point of my 180. I'd lived a destructive life since being left in the gutters. You were the first one to make me see I could be something else." He shrugs a little sheepishly. "Is it...that strange?" He'll, uh, stop if it's creepy. (Or try, anyway.)

"Maybe you should show me sometime?" Wait, what were they talking about? Does that even make sense? Regardless, it sounded good right?

And maybe he should turn down the starry-eyed swooning then? Drift is just not quite over the novelty of Wing being here, alive, after all this time. "Just be you." That's all he needs, really. He couldn't ask for more.

He wants to give you a reason to need touch-up paint, Wing But OH! No. He needs to, not think those things. Especially right now. With everyone here. COUGH, "Yes! Primus knows I need more than my fair share of it." Drift rubs the mar on his chestplate again, then snaps his hand back to his side when he realizes it. NOPE, nothing to see here!

Fun and prizes sounds good though. Better than his version of Winning before he was brought here at anyrate.

He stammers a little though. Wing says it like they're comparable, but he'd never shine as brightly as the jet. "I, uh, don't know...how else to be really."

"Oh. That would be...lovely. I mean, just being able to do proper maintenance." It's been far too long. And there is a story there, one Drift both does, and doesn't want to talk about. The latter seems to win most often; he's used to dealing with pain on his own, it's the only way he's survived all this time.

Not that it's necessarily the best way...

He blinks dumbly for a moment, because of course he's a natural at being himself, er, whatever that was meant to be. "You, uh, say that like it really is a good thing." Being him, that is. Many would not agree.
